About DIG Training & Wellness
-
DIG Training & Wellness is a comprehensive, integrative health and longevity coaching program that combines lifestyle strategies, precision medicine insights, and mindset work. Unlike a personal trainer or dietitian who focuses on one piece of the puzzle, we look at the whole picture—nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, and habits—to help you achieve lasting results.
-
DIG stands for Discover Your Inner Grit. The DIG Method is our signature approach to health coaching:
✔ Discover what’s holding you back
✔ Integrate science-based strategies
✔ Grow into your strongest, most resilient self -
Most of our coaching is 100% virtual, so you can work with us from anywhere in the nation.
If you’re local to Missoula, Montana, we also have in-person opportunities through our a variety of locations, such as at GEM Aesthetic and Wellness clinic or an agreed upon place with your coach.
-
We focus on behavior change in the pillars of nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress, which ultimately turns into preventative health - helping you build habits that prevent disease, manage weight, get you strong, and support longevity. We work alongside your medical care, not in place of it.
-
Genetic lifestyle testing is a tool in precision medicine; we utilize results in conjunction with your whole-body picture - medical history, prior/current labs and overall lifestyle in diet, exercise, sleep, and stress. Genetics are complex and research remains ongoing (as are most things science-y). Results aren’t necessarily definitive; they give us a general picture to incorporate into your lifestyle changes. This is where precision medicine is heading.
Genetic lifestyle testing uncovers valuable information about your unique genetic makeup, particularly regarding nutrition, cardiovascular, performance and lifestyle factors. Specific genes influence how your body handles and utilizes nutrients, and how it recovers.
Gene regulation and expression (turning on/off) are based on the body’s environment - what we eat, how we move, our stress levels, and our emotional state.
By gaining insight into your genetic variations, we can see potential predispositions, such as gluten intolerance, insulin resistance, high blood pressure or high cholesterol; the ability to absorb certain nutrients, such as vitamin D, C, fatty acids; your body's tolerance to certain exercises and how it recovers, etc. Using this information, we can make personalized recommendations to help you make the best choices for your nutrition and lifestyle. These recommendations empower you to make informed decisions about your diet, supplements, and exercise routine, all tailored to align with your individual genetic profile.
Understanding your genes can guide you to make healthier choices that help you to live healthier, happier, longer, and better.
-
There’s a lot of push out there from some influencers to take supplements; Let’s not get carried away with taking 500 supplements a day.
Our goal is to get the nutrients we need through diet first. If that’s not effective, or based on genomics/lab testing, your lifestyle or type of diet, we may recommend certain supplements. This is at the discretion of the coach and client and, of as ALWAYS, the choice to take supplements is completely up to the client.
About Health & Longevity Coaching
-
Longevity health coaching is about helping you live healthy and strong for longer (healthspan is the buzzword here) - with energy, strength, and confidence at every age. It’s ideal for women 35+ who want to feel in control of their health and prevent age-related decline before it starts.
-
As a women, around 35, hormones begin changing with subtle (or not-so-subtle) physiological and body changes. Metabolism slows (then plateaus for many years), muscle mass declines, and hormones shift. Longevity coaching helps you future-proof your health, so you don’t just add years to your life - you add life to your years.
-
Each session is personalized. We’ll review your goals, habits, and challenges, then create a strategy that work for you. We focus on sustainable lifestyle shifts, not quick fixes.
-
45-60 minutes
-
The goal of health coaching is to empower individuals to build sustainable lifestyle changes - in nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management - that will help improve peri-/post-menopausal symptoms; maintain healthy, long term weight loss; decrease inflammation; improve energy, strength, confidence and overall health.
Results depend on your commitment. Those that are dedicated and willing to put in the work have noticed improvement in these areas.
